    Perhaps is a nonsense but when Vienna Ensemble window is in front and ProTools edit window is back the spacebar (play/stop) doen´t work. I must click in Protools window to bring it in front in order to playback or stop running the session. This not happen with any of my RTAS plugins . (but happen with Some of VST´s) This is annoying me cause is time consumed . I searched in preferences but I didn´t find nothing to help me. Anybody knows what I´m talking about? Is there a way to solve it? My system is ProTools 7.3.1 under Mac OS X 10.4.11 in a Dual Core IntelMAc. Thanks

    Vienna Ensemble runs as a separate application, and will thus respond the same way when you press Space, as if you would press space in Mail, iPhoto or Safari.

     In Nuendo there is the possibility of not releasing the audio driver; ever.....! maybe there is such a thing in PT?

    ProTools will not release the driver - he was just talking about Transport commands such as Play,Stop,Forward etc not working. (Well, actually any keyboard commands, since they follow the application)

    Just in case this _really_ bothers you, you might get a dedicated transport controller like Frontier Designs "Tranzport" -> [URL]http://www.frontierdesign.com/Products/TranzPort[/URL] (... a handy little unit in any case, and it needs no cables). Works nicely with ProTools, Nuendo, and other applications too.

    Thanks . I think I can live with it but i would like that VE don´t cancel my Protools transport commands. Well , really is a little issue for me but nothing important compared to the advantage to own this impressive library.
