    Is MIR ever likely to be available as a VST so it coud be hosted in say Sibelius? not at all -  or short, medium or long term?

    Definetely not in the near future, i.e. not for Vers. 1, and maybe just for MIR Pro. There are quite a few issues to be solved to achieve this ...
