I have a Mac and a PC. I was running XP64 with VE3 on the PC and Leopard on the Mac.
I have the Mac and the PC plugged into an ethernet HUB.It was all working fine,.
I had set up the Mac with Ethernet set to Manual with a static IP address and a subnet mask. I had the PC set to a static IP address (all the same as the Mac IP except last number) with the same subnet mask. VE3 worked great and also Remote Desktop Connection for Mac worked letting me control my PC.
I just purchased MIR and so installed windows 7. But I cannot get the network setup to work at all!!! I went into Network and Sharing Center in windows 7, clicked on Local area Connection link. I then disabled TCP/IPv6, went into TCP/IPv4 settings choose to use a static IP address. I set the IP address and the subnet mask to the same settings as before. But it doesn't work!!! VE3, MidiOverLan and The Remote Desktop Connection all fail.
Can someone please help me, I have this wonderful product called MIR and can't use it!! I have no idea about windows 7 so need step by step guide how to configure it.
I would really appreciate any help anyone can give me!
