  • Spellcheck doesn't work in IE 64bit

There is only a 32bit version of the spellcheck for this forum. I'm having to use IE 32bit, even though I'm using Vista 64bit on this PC. It might be worth contacting the developer to see if they have a fix for this in the pipeline.

Well I'm just going to use IE 32bit for now. When Windows 7 is released i may make the switch to Firefox, since no browser is included as part of the Windows 7 install.

Looks like it's working better than my 2bit...

  •  spellchecker is a client-side tool, isnt't it? besides that - i never managed to add search providers to IE 64bit on XP64.

Sorry for being dense, but what's a search provider?

  • hmmm, i just notice that IE on windows server 2008, vista and 7 runs as 32 bit process and found this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896457/en-us related to windows server 2003 and XP 64 bit.

a search provider can be selected / added to the search field righthand in the address bar lefthand of the magnifying glass (live search, google, bing, ect)
