  • Mir and Sibelius 2

    Andi,

Has VSL tested MIR with sibelius?

Can MIR open as a VST in Sibelius so that everything can be done from Sibelius on a single PC?

If yes to the above do we have any idea how many instances of VI such a set up can manage either with an i7 quad core or with a dual Xeon set up. Are we talking Brass Quintet or Brass Band?

  • Hello David!

MIR can not be opened as a VST instrument. It's a standalone application. If you want to run it on a single PC together with a DAW (or in your case a notation software), you will need some kind of MIDI loopback and a really strong machine. It is recommended to use a separate computer just for MIR and your Vienna Instruments collsections.

You find some more details at the following location:

    Best wishes,
    Andi
