  • mir trial version error

Hello, I downloaded the trial version of mir and after a few starts the venue disappeared. The venue has become a white sheet and there is a message "inkt scene widget". I checked the "preferences" and it was OK. When I go to the starting point, I get the message "project loading failed". I already uninstalled and again installed mir and the roompack, but now nothing works anymore. What now ?

    Hi!

Unfortunately, you cannot use the starting points with the trial version of MIR. There's only two starting point projects right now, which both do not use the microphone position you get with the trial version of the room pack.

Dietz is already preparing further starting points - a starting point project for the trial version will be available soon.

I do not completely understand your problem with the venue image. Is it working properly now or do you still see the white sheet?

In this case please try to reduce the "Venue Image Detail Level" (->Preferences) and restart MIR.

    All the best, Florian

  • Hello, my problem has been solved. I reduced the venue image detail level to 0.25 and the Mozartsaal was back there. Thanks a lot !

Glad to hear that! What kind of graphics card do you use?

(Normally this happens only with very old graphics cards or when you use remote desktop.)

  • The grafics card is a Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT on a standalone pc. Perhaps it has something to do with the strange hdmi connection of the asus xonar hdav 1.3 soundcard: from the graphics card to the soundcard, to the av-receiver and then to the screen. I already tried to skip the last connection (because only the sound interests me), but this is the only way it works. Reducing the venue image detail level was a simple but effective solution. By the way: the result when using MIR is super! I just have to test how to connect multiple Vienna Ensembles to MIR (using the right midi channels). Serge
