  • problem in buying MIR

I have tried twice to order Vienna MIR but I get this message:

     (-1) Please check your input!

    (Sergio Brunetti)

  • sergino, this usually means you either have really mistyped the CC number or your card is not enabled for this type of transactions.

please double check with your card issuing bank or contact sales [at] vsl [dot] co [dot] at for details of a direct transaction.

    sorry for the inconvenience, christian

  • Sergino, you might have the same problem, as I encountered: check, if your credit card covers the required 795 Euro.

  • I'm getting that exact message in trying to purchase download instruments. I tried 3 different cards, and I know for sure I've bought things through non-US sites (they always charge me a $7.50 "foreign fee", frustrating, that), including within the last few weeks. I have plenty of money available for these purchases, too. I wish there were a clearer message, so I knew whether to call my bank or what.

  • unfortunately the payment server does not reply with more details than *payment declined* and the reason can be told only on a case-by-case basis.

eg. visa - only verified-by-visa enabled cards are accepted, master - only master card secure code are accepted.

some card issuing banks have additional restrictions (eg. payment only during working hours), in some cases you receive an SMS to confirm the transaction (which is finally too late for the current payment process), ect.

  • I notice that it doesn't ask for the 3-digit code on the back, which seems odd. It's odd that three cards didn't work. What can be done to get these instruments?

  • Well, I tried a 4th card just now, and it worked, plus I ended up getting one more instrument that I'd forgotten about yesterday, so all's good.

  • great to hear you have been able to finalize your purchase and thank you very much for that ...

expecting the 3 digit or CVC code indicates the used card is not enrolled for *verfied by visa* resp. *master card secure code* - the CVC method is considered to be legacy (everytime you hand out your card to someone it can be *stolen* by simply writing it down)
