    I just loaded the Violin legato from the performance set, and the last 6 notes (G5-c6) are missing. Am I doing something wrong?

    Check in legato mode, if the playrange settings of the highnote is set to f6. You can also load the violin template of legato mode. It should be set correctly.

    Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!
    I've checked everything that you mentioned, plus anything else I could think of. The Violins performance legato definately stop at the high f#, when they need to go the the top C. The samples are not mapped in the gigastudio keyboard window. A picture in the performance tool manual reveals the same problem.

    Your expedient reply is greatly appreciated - I can't really use this until those top 6 note exsist on the instrument.

    sorry your octav numbers missleaded me. So you miss the range from G6 to c7, right? (a4 = 440 Hz)

    This range is not included in the moment for the legato gigs, but we'll record it (I think end of this month). The reason is simple, it was too hard for the musicians in the beginning.
    To record one keynote with all intervallsteps needs 1 hour recording time, if things become more difficulter, as it does in this range, much more.
    The anatomie of playing violins in this range is exhausting (for the left hand) if you do this for several hours.

    But to play for us is also a learning process for the musicians.
    Things that seems impossible in the beginning, were realised without any problems after several months.

    I think its one of our big advantages to have enough time to develop outstanding things. In some cases we have to ask for a little patience.

    Hi Herb,

    Will the new extensions to the note ranges of intruments be made available in the first edition as well as the pro edition, or only the pro edition?

    Is the content of the first edition now fixed or will, for example, the first edition bought in March 2003 be improved upon that which was bought in January 2003?

    We didn't discussed it internal.
    But I would say, that these range extensions could be a free update for all users.
