Each piece/cue is different - but these presets are so helpful. I have tweaked them in 90% of cases (material dependent) BUT not by much. Dietz - your working hard to find the resonance fregs for us has been very helpful. Please finish the library asap.

Dietz - could you go into this a bit more. I LOVE VS but haven't seen the benefit of Power pan over what I can do now in Cubase (collaspe the stereo - varying degrees and move it left or right. Is there a 'sonic' benefit that I am missing here?

Yes thanks for that Dietz - I was hoping that was the case. In Logic, the panning is more or less next to useless as it's merely a facsimile of what power panning does. I guess Cubase is different panning to Logic.

The only "sonic" benefit would be that you are able to actually _lower_ one channel of a stereo-signal in volume, either before or after the actual panning. This can be helpful, as well as the option to switch one channel's polarity independently from the other one.
Other than that, a Cubase/Nuendo-user just gets nicer graphics from the Vienna Suite's PowerPan, plus the option for saving his/her own settings. 😉
... in case of Logic, the need for PowerPan is evident, though.
+1 Vienna Suite really has great tools, but for my part, practically the only plugin I would use is the EQ because of the resonance-presets... so for me 450 € just for one plugin that I would use is a little much...@kleinholgi said:

+1 I'm already heavily invested in world class eq's, compressors and verbs. I can't justify spending 500+ dollars on VE. I like some things in the VE, but I would only occasionally use the eq, and maybe the power pan. It would be much better to be able to buy them one at a time, as you can with most developers plugs of this type. The money we save can be used in buying more VSL libraries!
