  • Volume.

    Hi there,

Whenever I play back my piece on Sibelius, the first violin always gets set to Volume 9.

    Why is this?

    Thanks,

    Ben.

  • Hi Ben!

Do you mean Midi volume gets set to value 9? This would be a very low volume level and very unusual behaviour. Maybe you have made a dictionary entry that causes this behaviour. Or maybe you have edited the instrument "Violin 1" this way.

  • Hi,

I mean that whenever I press the play button, the volume (to the right of the keyboard in the VE) is set to 9.

I don't think it is a dictionary entry...

I don't think I've edited the instrument like that either.

By the way, it has now happened with Violin II as well...

    Ben.

    EDIT:

When I remove both Violins from the score and add them again, on top of deleting the matrices in VE and then reloading them, it works again, but then after a while reverts back to the volume issue...

  • Maybe you have a MIDI-Keyboard or MIDI-Controller connected, that sends this command.
