Vienna was working sweet with pro tools 8 on mac 10.5.6 hard drive. Wanted to put instruments onto external hard drive. So i dragged them over and rescanned external drive. I didnt run (how do you run?). I then restarted and no patches were found.
I tried reinstalling, but i wasnt given opportunity to chose external drive for instruments. So im in a catch 22 situation.
What do i do?

if an external drive appears as *mounted* on the mac's desktop, you can select it as destination for installing a library ... i'd recommend to not allow external drives to sleep (energy options)
make sure no VI / VE or audio-host with loaded vienna plugins is open nor a vsldaemon is running during changing locations in the directory manager (best: reboot before) ...
