    HI. Does anyone own or have any experience of the Motu Ultralite Mk3? I"ve seen one in a second-hand store for just over £300. Would it be money well spent or should I be looking for something else in the up to £400 range? Any feedback would be appreciated. Cheers..Colin

    I have owned many MOTU interfaces over the years, but currently use RME.

    The mk III is a serious upgrade, and makes the Ultralite mk III even better bang-for-buck than the Ultralite mk II.

    If you are in the stated budget range, I believe you can do no better than this particular interface (or a similar one from MOTU).

    MOTU drivers are rock-solid on Macs; I hear WIndows users are not quite as happy. If you'rer on Windows, do more research.

    The converters are quite good, and you can upgrade later with some modifications by Black Lion, to make it a "high-end" unit.

    It's a good option all-around. I only upgraded to RME because I didn't want to do the BL upgrade or buy a separate clock.

     Thanks for the advice mh. The one in the shop is gone but I shall keep in mind your recommendation [for when my bank balance recovers from the abuse it was subjected to by VSL in recent weeks!]

    Yes, I wouldn't touch another Motu product with a barge poll.
