Sorry, but the error prompt is in german here ...
I opened a second song in Logic pro (8.02) without closing the actual opened song.
then i hit "close projekt" to step back to the first (... opened in the background) song.
there are following two error prompts:
"Syncrosoft Lizenz Kontrolle - Fehler
Applikation 'Vienna Suite' hat den folgenden Fehler verursacht:
Calling INIT method failed: NoRegisterSpace
Bitte schliessen Sie einen gültigen eLicenser an und starten die Applikation noch einmal.
Optionen:
- Um abzubrechen klicken Sie ."
after confirming this dialog there´s the second one:
"Das Generieren des Schlüssels ist fehlgeschlagen:
Es wurde keine passende Lizenz gefunden."
after confirming that diolog too, the song seems to run fine.
but trying to implement one of the new "vienna suite" plugs, there´s another upcoming message:
"This plugin is not licenced to run. Please check that the dongle is inserted"
... after restarting the system everything is ok again
... i´m using a full licenced "vienna suite" on a macpro (quad 2,8) in logic 8.02.
what does it mean?

I had this message more than one times as well (with Vista64x PC).
The only possibility which solves the problem here is to restart the system (PC).
Keep in mind that we are still working with V 1.0XX. [:)]
Anyway - good to know for VSL.

... yes, i´ve done so yesterday. ... but maybe it is a bigger problem. after a restart there´s suddenly an other problem with the ilok dongle beneath. tried repairing disk permissions, tried checking the HD - all end with an error prompt. tried to repair the HD in target mode from another mac, no way. tried same thing with disk warrior - no way. i´m just running a system backup ... maybe the HD is "schrott" (eng. damaged) now the machine still runs and it have to, because i´m running out of time with a project.

No, I don't believe. This here is a Syncrosoft issue - I at any rate believe.

a few looks later ... the error above mostly appears when re-loading a logic song. i ignored the error prompt (which comes up several times) and the song startet. i tried to look up the GUI of the vienna suite (VS) and some of them (i.e. analyzer) say, they are not licenced - but not all of them. strange thing ... another issue here is when saving as a new preset: filling in a new name in the dialog box "repeats" the letters, i.e. i tried to write "TW" as a new preset name and it comes "TTWW" automatically. hups ... one thing btw.: after purchasing the licence there were three activation codes sent to me. i synchronised all to my dongle - but why do i have three numbers? thomas

hmm, i think i´ve bought one licence ... that is what the reciept says too. or are there 3 licences included automatically?

I've had Logic songs load and occasionally when saving 3rd party plug-in presets each letter is repeated -example DDRRUUMMSS) Re-booting usually clears it. So I think this is not necessarily a VSL/Synchrosoft problem. However on a recent song I was running at 96k I had repeated Synchrosoft licence errors on Ensemble whilst VI was fine on the same computer. Julian
