Hello - Mac G5 dual 2.0 6 GB - I have VI and VE running (usually as plugins with DP), but there is a process in my activity monitor that says "vsldaemon (not responding)". While everything seems to be operating properly, I find this disturbing. Does this message indicate a problem? Please advise.

vsldaemon (not responding)

Hi Charles, noticed the same phenomenon though using a different setup (IntelMac DualQuadCore, VI, VE w Logic). I have AMon opened to follow progress on loading my VE-frames, and vsldaemon actually says goodbye very much in the beginning and never comes to life again. But I got temporary non responding alerts for logic and VE too. This seems to be a matter of calculating; in the end everything´s running fine. I must admit I don´t actually know what vsldaemon does - maybe someone else can enlighten us? A

Hello A, Thanks for your reply. OK, so you have seen this too. I have no idea what vsldaemon does. As long as this does not reference the way VE handles memory and the streaming is working properly, I guess I don't care. But I don't like seeing error messages. Anyone else out there have a clue about this? ~C
