Hello,
When I think of the time I used the VSL First Edition to produce three pieces of music, I feel frustration because I value flow and flexibility.
To decide whether I'd like to spent money once again into any Vienna Instrument, my needs for orientation, trust and savety call for being met.
Regarding the VI Special Edition, would someone be willing to answer the following questions:
I have heard it's only possible with the wind instruments (using the "legato with sustain crossfading"-patch) to play legato passages with notes that sound as long as you like.
1) Are these sustain notes looped?
2) During the legato note and after the crossfade: Is there the possibility to (de-)crescendo the note?
3) Did you develop a solution to make that happen with the strings instruments as well (legato with sustained/ looped notes & de-/crescendo)? A solution that works in life playing situations (i.e. in real time)?
Sincerely,
Sebastian
