  • Downloading samples

Can someone tell me what samples are going to be available for download? I need to simulate a brass band so I'll need a Cornet and Euphonium and afew others from the Special Brass, I can;t afford over £500 just to do a one off track for someone.

  • the first relay will be woodwinds, followed by brass - basically all instruments you can find in the DVD collections. the amount of content will widely coincede with the respective standard library patches.

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • You say "widely coincede" with the standard library...

So its not THE actual standard library that you are making available for dload, but another special edition or version?

And i take it it will not be possible to get a full standard+extended single instrument via dload, only the standard version?

Thanx, this will be quite interesting , i know there are alot of single intruments i would want to have both as standard and extended via dload, so i hope that becomes possible sometime in the future as well :D

  • Hello, coming from the Horizon sample libraries to VSL I thought that was a great concept to offer full packs of single instruments or little groups (like French Oboe, Sax, Solo Strings, Epic Horns, etc.). (I only had the Percussion from the Pro series and there the performance pack for my need was not the most interesting and it was no problem it was not provided. Please, I do not want to despice the value of the performance set or performance tool at that time and today - I just express my attitude towards this sample library!) It would be great if VSL would reconnect to this concept again - full set of articulations for one instrument or one specific group of instruments - for some users and their needs this was a perfect match. I just got some VIs and mostly looked into Elements and to me it seems that the standard library is - compared to the Glass & Stones - well, a nice appetizer. With Glass and Stones I was able to immediately make great voicings - with Elements standard I feel like I can add a bling here and there. Of course I would love to get an equivalent to French Oboe Horizon and Epic Horns in 'VI world', but seems like I (at least) will have to wait. VSL, please consider the option to offer full set of single instruments or instrument groups. Thanks. Best
