Please could you help me. I want to create a portamento and detache note in sibelius score using vsl soundset. How do I do this? Cheers Ian

Hi Ian!

Portamento and detache are not predefined in the Sibelius playback dictionairy. But you can simply add them (see the Sibelius manual on how to do that).

For portamento go to
Play/Dictionairy/Staff Lines/portamento: Add Sound ID change: +portamento until last note under line.
You might want to add this Sound ID change (+portamento) also to the glissando line.
If there is a note right before the glissando starts, you might want to shorten the length of this note in Properties/Playback/Live duration, in order to avoid portamento starting early.

For detache go to
Play/Dictionairy/Staff Text/detache: Set Sound ID change to +detache

As these commands are included in the sound set, there are no further changes or additions necessary.
