    Hi there,

    I have to apologize for this perhaps silly newbie-question, but I can't figure out how to apply audio effects / audio equalizer from my DAW (Cubase 4 Studio) to a single Instrument from my "Vienna Ensemble Orchestra". I've got Vienna Ensemble 2.0 and the Vienna Insturments SE.

    The thing is: I know how to apply the cubase-equalizer to the "whole vienna ensemble". But how can I pick out eg. the violins to use the equalizer only for them? I'm attaching an image from my cubase, perhaps it helps to understand what my question is.

    The best thing to do is to make sure that each instrument has its own audio Output in VE. Then you can put whatever effect you like on each instrument directly on the VSTi Output in Cubase, as well as having the choice of both pre and post fader sends.

    But I'm sorry, I just can't figure out how to do this.

    In Vienna the following picture shows the outs...? Or am I wrong?

    But if I choose here eg. HW Out 3/4 nothing chances in my Cubase Interface... so where can I find this?

    Have you actually enabled the extra Outputs in Cubase? By default any multi timbral instrument has only one output assigned. To see the others, hit F11 (VST rack) and look at the little black triangle (I think) to the left of the Vienna Ensemble name. Click it and this will give you a further 15 Outputs for each VE instance.
