Hi - just a quick question.I have no problem bringing in vsl as a vst in sonar. Problem is that when I first load it, the vsl perform window works fine when I play my keyboard. Then I load my patches etc and set key changes and controllers. Then when I click back into sonar, and then back into the vsl interface I get no reponse (sound or keys playing on the vsl keyboard). Completely dead. Works fine when I am in sonar but not when I switch back. What can I do to fix this? PLEASE HELP!!! I tried the xray feature under GLOBAL general as I needed to disable this for Machfive2 "s interface to show but this didn't work for vsl on or off.

I use Sonar 7 so I don't know how relevant this is to you. First, let's eliminate the obvious. When you are in the Track View, you have to click on the track that you want to play in order to get it to work. Click on the Number track that you want to work with, making it active, and then you should be able to hear your performance in no matter what interface your looking at, VSL or Sonar.
Or.... When you go to insert a VST soft synth (such as VSL) a menu should pop up giving you some routing and view options. I'm not at my music computer now so I can't tell you exactly what they are but you should deselect an option called MIDI thru or something like that, I can't remember. You could always just play around with those options until something finally works.
Sorry I couldn't give you more precise info but I think your problem has something to do with that menu that pops up after you insert the soft synth.
