  • Special Ed VI Logic multiple voices

Hi, New to mock-ups in VSL. I'm in Logic 8 with Special Edition with a stereo VI opened on each track with the default matrix assignments (e.g. CO 215 Strings Violons). The strange thing is that I can't get any polyphony (2 or 3 notes at a time) in a track. I'm 99% sure that this shouldn't be. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks is Advance,

  • SOS !

  • If you're using a legato or portamento patch, you can only play one note at a time. Otherwise the interval coudn't be identified. If you want to play more than one note at a time, then open two or more instances of the same instrument, and play the notes using seperate instances and seperate midi channels.

  • Thanks for your reply. Yes that makes since! That must be the case for other articulations too. I tried a 3 note chord with a sus articulation for Vln. and it doesn't work. Guess I'll need to open up more instances! All best

  • No, sus articulations are OK to play chords.
