  • solo strings standalone troubble

    Hello!

I've had Solostrings innstalled for a while now and i use it in cubase4.

This is going ok, BUT!!!!!!!  when i tryed to start it in stand alone mode i get a warning about asio and it ask me to

do a test. I do so and after the test it says that some did not start correctly and i have to configure my soundcard.

when i go to options in VI standalone i see that my soundcard is chosed (rme fireface800)

I see i the player when i try to play that there is signal and the sound is actually playing innside the standalone but i hear no sound out.

    In Cubase4 everything is ok.

Please help me with this ASAP

    Thanks

    Lasse

  • AFAIK in the stand-alone VE you can select the ASIO channels where the sound shall go to ... this might be channels now which are not connected to any output of the fireface ... open the RME mixer to see details and re-route the output if needed. used as plugin outputs are managed by cubase.

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • Thanks!

I will look into this.  But what is AFAK? and what do you mean about VE.

When i choos option in VI stand alone i get only sound and midi option to choose and in the sound option it only shows rme fireface and asio.

i cannot choose anything else there. i have tryed to right click on the two options to see if there's a sub menu but it's not.

In my soundcard routing mixer i cannot see VI and everything else is working so i cannot understand this at all.  please explain this deeper to me because it seems like i have to have this with a "teaspoon" to understand it.

    thanks

    Lasse
