I went under Library in my "places" section of my computer (the thing that looks like a little house with my name under it), and looked through every folder. FInally, under "receipts" I found the receipts for the old updates I had installed incorrectly. I trashed them, and then was able to run the Intel installation. It claims it was successful. HORRAY! Later on tonight I'll try to install the actual library. Wish me luck! LInda
