Only 16 MIDI Channel per VE templates?

I'm using Sonar with Vienna Ensemble.

When I have a project with more than 16 instruments, I use more istances of Vienna Ensemble.

Is there a possibility to make an unique, defitive, big Vienna Ensemble template and address that from a Sequencer like Sonar?

The MIDI spec only allows for 16 MIDI channels per plugin instance, so I'm afraid that until this is re-written you are stuck. This limitation is not present in the standalone versions.

... and there is something else to be considered related to VST .... also empty channels put load on the CPU so it might be not clever at all to increase the number .... better open a new instance of VE if needed and the machine can handle it ...
