  • Special edition extended question

    Hi,

    hypothetical situation:

Suppose I own (a)Special Edition standard, which has solo strings and orchestral strings [but not chamber or appassionata]

and then I get the (b)special edition strings plus, which has extra articulations for the chamber and appassionata strings,

will these extra articulations from chamber and appassionata strings [but not the originial articulations] be available to me in the VI?

    Thanks,

    Rob from Ireland.

I'm not sure what you're looking at, but according to the sample content page there are no extra articulations for chamber or appassionata strings listed in SE Strings Plus.

  • The problem is that (unless I've missed something ) neither SE Strings nor SE Strings Plus show the details of their extended versions on their Sample Content page. However, I'm pretty sure that the extended versions of both contain extra articulations for chamber and Appassionata strings - probably the same type of extra performance styles you get for the solo and orchestral strings.

Can VSL please clarify this and make the details clearer?

  • It appears they just updated there website and I spoke too soon.  Now the following link does show the details of the extended content: http://vsl.co.at/en/211/496/818/868/902/551.htm Now I understand what Banquo was talking about.

  • Oh yes, that wasn't there earlier when I looked. Maybe it was 'under maintenance'! All is clear now.
