    Hi - I've just bought the VSL saxophones instrument and can't get the samples to load. The instrument and license installed fine, and opens as per usual. The sample data is stored on fast firewire drive and appears fine in the finder. When I open the instrument and click 'preset select' the sax presets appear OK in the file browser. and when I doubleclick, for example, the alto sax, it appears to load - if I go to patch assign or matrix assign I can see what appear to be samples and matrices loaded in the left-hand window.  However, when I play the keyboard - either onscreen or remotely - only the inner midi ring lights up, and if I go to the 'perform' page, the display read 'samples: 0' and 'memory used: 0'. System:G4 dual-proc, 1.25 Ghz, 1.5 Gb RAMMac OS 10.4.8Digitial Performer 5.01MOTU 828Samples data on separate 7200rpm firewire drive 

    Any suggestions very gratefully received.

    you might possibly have had a VI instance open during installing the new library ... have you already tried to simply reboot?

    Thanks Christian - rebooting didn't fix it - in the end I deleted the whole library and .dat files and reinstalled - now seems to work fine. Very mysterious...
