Guy, I noticed you did the above with App II strings. The fast Arpeggios - what particular string patches did you use for those please? I have a piece of music at the moment that requires fast movement a la Hoedown by Copland for instance and cannot find the right articulations.

Sorry, don't know Hoedown. But generally arpeggios are very tricky to simulate.
Maybe a combination of different articulations, for the lower strings short single notes which do have some resonance, for the higher strings a legato patch. However, I think you have to switch permanently between different patches.

Yes the type of string playing I am after seems to be difficult with my fairly limited First Ed articulations.
I can't find a decent orchestral version of this on youtube Herb - but if you look at Emerson's right hand playing here, you can see what I want. Substitute that for strings.

Also, with the VI system - do you get more than stac 1 and stac 2 as in the First Ed?
