  • Question about swapping sample drive

I want to replace a smaller sample drive holding my VI samples with a bigger one.   If I install a  bigger hard drive for my samples, can I simply copy the VI sample files from the old hard drive to the new one, or do I need to run the installation program and copy them from the original DVDs?

I wouldn't be touching the VI program files. I will keep those intact on my C: drive. The new hard drive will replace the old one.

    Thanks

    Mark

  •  Hi Mark,

you can copy the content, no problem!

If the file location has changed, don´t forget to remove the old content from your Directory Manager and assign the content on the new harddrive again, so that the VI can find the location.

    Best,

    Paul
