Directory Manager doesn't start! OS X 10.4.11 MacPro
It says "Administrator account is required to run Directory Manager" But I'm the administrator, I even switched on the root user The strange thing is that it doesn't ask for password What's the solution?

welcome gaspar, (funny displayed username btw ... we might want to change it to avoid confusion ...)
did you install the latest VI software and did you the install with the same account you are now trying to run it
or did you possibly change your security settings (either the account as such or the group)?
as we know root is usually allowed to do everything .... if you say run you mean launch, right?
basically i'd recomment to run disk utility and repair permissions on your system volume.
if this does not help uninstall the VI and re-install it

ps: your personal record seems to be not very complete ... we'd appreciate if you could edit it http://vsl.co.at/en/Profile.vsl
and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
