SE Brass wont Install -- help!

 hi folks.  i just downloaded the Special Edition Brass, and it will not install.

I run the VI Library Installer, all goes well up through the process, but near completion i get a dialog box

that says "Cannot Read Installation Package (File is corrupted?)" 

whats going on here?

 never mind  ...(possibly)

looks like one of the .cab files didnt fully download and got  terminated with a few megabytes left to D/L.

hopefully this fixes it, but if not ill be back soon complaining  again ;)

never mind... ive got everything working now... seems the server kept killing the D/L but finally got it all.. Yay brass!

good to hear it finally worked ... after download you could do a rough compare of the filesizes as given on the download pages, in case there is no obvious difference and the install still does not work you could further compare the MD5 checksum of the files.

 

a download is (opposed to a local file-copy) a so-called stateless process, so your browser will not notice if a few or more bytes are missing ....

edit: note, OS X also does not proove this when copying from DVD to harddisk ...
