Hello Forum, I am curious if anyone else is having this problem. I am using VE as a standalone outside of Logic. Whenever I open a session I always find that a few of the samples and matrices didn't load. If I close out of VE and then re-open it, maybe one or two will come back but then there might be another sample or two that didn't load properly. I have found that the only way to get them back is to add another instrument channel strip, assign it to the same IAC bus as the instrument I am missing and re-load the samples and matrices. Then it works for the day until I shut down and come back to work the next day and find that some samples and matrices are missing. This is not a memory issue as I have had this happen when using only three instruments and when I've been using ten so I don't know what the problem is. Any help is most appreciated. Thanks.

Same topic, a day may seem much to you, but people may not read the forums everyday, please stick with one topic. If everybody else would do this it would be very confusing! Have you already dropped an eMail to VSL support - support@vsl.co.at ?

please don't forget to add specific information when you write to support - logic version, OS version, VE version, loaded martices, setup of your DAW, maybe also include .lso .fxp and .viframe files ... the more precise you are the better and faster someone can help you without checkbacks

Hey Christian, I am using OS X 10.4.10, Logic 8, a Digi 002 as my audio interface, VE cersion 2.0, the samples I'm currently using are the universal performance patches for solo violin, viola, cello, Harp, Celest, and bassoon. I am also using the "pizz + legno All" matrices for the viloin, viola and cello. Last time I opened my project and loaded all the samples, the bassoon, cellos, celest and harp weren't loading. Now when I open the project, the cellos, violas, and ist violins won't load. As I said in my original post, if I "insert new instruments" and re-load the matrices that aren't loading, they all load fine and play great. When I close out of the session and/or shut down completely and then start the session back up I find that some of the matrices and samples don't load. As a test, I loaded the exact same matrices and patches into a VE session all by it's self without Logic running. I haven't had any problems when I re-open the VE session, everything is there. Of course the difference between the two VE sessions is that the one running outside of Logic is using the IAC bus' and are all on MIDI channel 1. Where the VE session alone is on Omni and everything plays at once. Is this maybe a Logic glitch or is it a VE running with Logic glitch? It seems very starnge to me. Also, I have all of my VI samples stored on an external HD which I have run some tests with and have optimized to make sure that it was in proper order and that all samples were being accounted for and seen. This didn't help but always a good thing to do when neccessary. Thanks again, Chumley
