Just wanted to let you know, cause there seem to be more people having problems like mine. In my case Logic crashed as soon as VE was starting. After installing the new Synchrosoft Control Center it worked. Hope that helps!

seriously: always, a l w a y s, ALWAYS check and if needed repair permissions after an install and make sure no related processes are running during an install. it seems especially logic (i.e the AU plugins) are very sensitive regarding permissions - sometimes a reinstall helps, but this might not even have been needed ....
