  • Vienna Ensemble consistently fails validation in Logic 7.2.3

     Vienna Ensemble has failed AU validation several times in Logic Pro 7.2.3. This happens whether or not I have previously opened the VE standalone. I have encountered no similar problem with Logic 8 nor with Digital Performer 4.6.2.

    After the initial failure, I repaired permissions on the startup disk before launching Logic 7.2.3.  When that had no positive effect, I also rebuilt the startup disk's directory using Alsoft's DiskWarrior and then repaired permissions again. The result was the same. After 10-15 minutes, Activity Monitor states that Vienna Ensemble, auval, and Logic AU Manager are "not responding."  Any suggestions?
