    Just talking about films like It's a Wonderful Life a few months ago on this forum, has made me laugh just recently.

    They are in the middle of remaking this film here in the UK currently and it's going to be called Northern Rock, I understand. It doesn't get any better than that for me. Thanks to the Yanks and their wonderful sub-prime fiasco (which was ALWAYS going to happen btw) - we in the UK are now able to remake It's a Wonderful Life with total confidence.

    Alistair Darling is playing the Chancellor of Shark City in this movie - (he has wonderful eyebrows for the part in my view). There's a huge cast of extras - you just need an account with Northern Rock and you're a player! And it involves lots of queues apparently.

    At the end of the film, there's a cashier holding a bank note in each hand wondering if they're going to breed.

    Debt! Don't you just love it!!!

    I don't even understand this.  What the hell?  it is disturbing. BTW what is with the idiot remake of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers?" Is this for goofballs who never saw the original or the remake? I pity the poor fools.

    I refer to the great 50s version by Don Siegel, followed by the great 70s one by Phillip Kaufman. Kaufman's remake of that film was a rare respectable remake (RRR) because it completely re-did the concept in terms of DNA, cloning, ETC as well as created very good characters. So what do these new goofballs do?  Something even more brilliant?  No. Just the same damned thing, but with Nicole Kidman. hey, what a concept.  Sounds about as good as this dumbass remake of "It's a Wonderful Life" to bring things full circle...

    You're telling me that they're remaking Invasion of the Body Snatchers AGAIN?!>!! Is there a communist threat in the world AGAIN?!?>! Kevin McCarthy's version is unbeatable and it just shows that films are very much part of the time they are made. No Billy - Northern Rock is not a film. But it should be. A comedy film in fact. This is interesting. I have no posts - two funny little children it seems next to my name - and no paragraphs. Any, thanks to CM for sorting out my problem with the forum.
