    Hi

    Vienna Ensemble is looking great, and from reading the manual it sounds like the answer to my prayers.

    However, I am getting constant Spinning Beachballs of Death - sometimes when I first instantiate the VE plugin in Logic 7.2, sometimes when I try and load an instrument in VE.  So far I have not yet managed to instantiate it and load an instrument - I've always had to force quit both apps just to get the system to respond again.    On a couple of ocassions I've had the spinning beachball for a couple of minutes, and then "Vienna Ensemble Service is not available".

    I've been through the manual with a fine toothed comb and have followed it to the letter, but the problems persist.

    Any help on what the issue might be would be hugely appreciated.

    System is: Mac Pro 8 Core, 8GB Ram, OS 10.4. 10, Logic 7.2.3

    It's just one of those things I'm afraid to say. Where you may well have a certain type of system config that doesn't agree well with the VE. Give the VSL boys some time I'm sure they'll get this all working. I myself am Dying to use the VE but with OS X.5 it's not possible right now .. that what I get for being an early adopter :P
