What's a safe amount of memory to leave available in the VI player 'memory free' box -- under the perform tab? I assume that VI keeps using up more memory the more articulations you play.
This is on a slave machine, so VE is the only app running. I'm just squeezing in 2.3 megs of woodwinds out of her. That leaves 190 megs showing in the 'memory free'. But that quickly drops to about 89 megs free once I've hit half, or so, of the articulations. What would you guys consider safe a safe margin? Or do I just need to experiment?
Computer is Windows XP SP2
3 gig switch
4 Gigs memory installed
2.49 available at start
Thanks if you have any tips on this.
