  • VI not showing up in Logic

I installed VI and can use it as a standalone, but it will not show up in Logic, even after rescanning all Audio Units. Nolan

  • This happened to me, too. I restarted my mac and it all worked again. Whew.

  • Try repairing your disk permissions. Then rescan your Audio Units.

  • No matter how many times I reboot, repair permissions or rescan the AU the Vienna Instrument (Appassionata Str.) doesn't show up. Anyone any suggestions? Thank you!

  • please check if the license shows up in your license control center (if an unknown application is listed than LCC too old)

then check the left wing of your stand-alone player if appass is listed there (if not VI software too old)

check the right wing of the stand-alone player (if no patches listed there re-assign data directories to the Directory manager, make sure your custom data folder is set and has read & write permissions)

if all seems to be fine then have you already tried to validate the AU plugin manually (sometimes you need to be really patient the first time until validation succeeds)

Yes, it is listed. check the right wing of the stand-alone player (if no patches listed there re-assign data directories to the Directory manager, make sure your custom data folder is set and has read & write permissions) Patches are there if all seems to be fine then have you already tried to validate the AU plugin manually (sometimes you need to be really patient the first time until validation succeeds) THe Plug in doesn't show on the AU list. I did try to re-install but same result. Any suggestions? THank you in advance. Aldo

  • High,

I had the same problem and that's how I found this thread....[:O]

I have a MacBookPro  15 inch  4 gig of ram, external 1 terrabite weibtech hard disk on firewire 800.... and digi 003 interface (which is a can of worms in itself)

I browsed in Logic for a while(3 hours...)  finally found a section which deals with Audio units manager.

Those units were deactivated for Vienna. Just check them.  For thoroughness reboot.

    worked for me
