    Having installed Version  1.1.2 of the Viennna Instruments software and the latest version of Syncrosoft License Control software (v.5.2.20.1), loading a single empty instance of VI software in Logic 8 took 6 minutes. I then rebuilt the directories of the startup disk and the RAID 0 array which holds the VI samples using Alsoft's Diskwarrior (V.4) and I also repaired permissions on the startup disk with Apple's Disk Utility. Loading time for a single empty instance of the VI software was reduced to 3' 10" when loading it into either Logic 7.2.3 or Logic 8. This compares with loading times 1.5 — 2 minutes when performing the same operation in Logic 7.2.3 or Logic 8 with the previous version (1.1.1) of VI software. 

    I am running OS 10.4.10 on a dual 2.5GHz G5 equipped with 7GB RAM

    I'm running a Quad Core WinXP64 Professional with 4gb RAM. Load time on a fresh boot is under a minute. Same in stand-alone mode and as a VSTi in Sonar7 Producer. Just an FYI. I know its not much help but it looks like shorter times came be achieved with the right system config. I can list my complete computer hardware if that helps. David

    It may well be that with the right computer configuration loading times are faster, but this does not explain why loading times have doubled on my G5 ever since I installed the latest version of VI software (1.1.2). Why is this latest version so much slower to load than the immediately preceding version (1.1.1)? Nothing else has changed in my configuration.
