  • Using Multiple Velocity XFade Types

How do I assign velocty to the velocity crossfading for my Timpani Hits, and ModWheel(CC1) to the velocity crossfading for the Timpani Rolls, all on the same VI instance?

you'll find it very helpful to watch ourvideo tutorials, where all the functions of our VI are explained very well.

    all the best, michael

  • Evan,

I'm pretty sure that the VI doesn't allow you to do that. You have to set CC1 to control velocity xfade and then another controller to switch xfade on and off.

    For the VSL guys:
Maybe in the next version of the VI you could add an option that allows different keyswitches to use different controllers.

  • I don't understand the original question. [:(]

  • tgfoo,

Exactly. I tell you what I did is, I was in the Matrix display for PERFORM. I am new to VI, so hopefully that makes sense. I was in PERFORM, and on the left you see the different matrixes that are listed. And what I did was selected each of them and tried to assign them individual XFade settings.

It's a bummer that you can't set this up. This means for instance, that one needs to load two instruments to setup one timpani. But as you say, setting up xfade switching to say, a keyswitch, ought to do the trick for now. But that doesn't let us set different curves for each patches xfades.

  • michi,

Thank you. By the way, do you pronounce your nickname Mickey or Meeshee or Mitchy?
