rob, if you ever run in troubles with VI licenses it helps really much to know your key number(s). i'm thinking here especially on loss and damage.

rob, is this by chance your key with the *low number* resp. a non-ViennaKey? older syncrosoft keys have limited space to store licenses.
upgrade master means your standard library license gets updated to a standard+extended. it looks this process fails because of insufficient space.
please try the following steps:
1) attach this problematic key and a ViennaKey to a computer with internet connection and a current license control center installed
2) transfer your percussion standard license to the ViennaKey
3) re-initiate the download of the extended license to the ViennaKey (during this process the wording *upgrade* should appear in the dialog)
4) finally you should have a master license (standard and extended) on the ViennaKey and the pending license transfer should have disappeared.
in case it doesn't work that way please email support@vsl.co.at mentioning the number of the problematic key - we will send you a code to erase the pending license transfer.

Hi Rob.
"The Upgrade License was successfully downloaded and the upgrade carried out.
The used activation code is now invalid and can no longer be used."
This simply means that the code you entered for your Extended or Standard was successful and that you don't need those codes for that volume since it's now licensed.
In other words, you did everything right! [:)]
Rob,
I've had problems very, very similar to you. I would agree that VSL need to change their advice on the use of old Steinberg keys ... they will not hold more than two licences ... and once full, set the scene for a complex "download interrupted" situation to occur.
I had the problems of ;
- 1 first not enough room on my old key,
- 2 then difficulty moving my L2 solo strings to my new key (becuase of interrupted transfer)
- 3 getting rid of the darn "interrupted message".
solution that worked for me;
- 1 buy a new key
- 2 transfer everything I could from old key to new key
- 3 empty trash on old key, so enough room to finish L2 download
- 4 on old key ... use download wizard ... do NOT try to continue old transfer, start a new one to finish L2 download. This did work for me, and I was a bit surprised that it did.
- 5 once all keys are moved to new vienna, unplug old key.
- 6 If you still get the "interrupted warning" try the following, which was sent by Paul at VSL ...
"we just received some information from Syncrosoft and these are the steps that will hopefully make everything work (Syncrosoft can recheck everything this way):
#1 Please send the support informations to the Syncrosoft server (Support=>Send support information)
#2 Please save the support log on a safe place (Support=>save support file)
#3 Erase the content of C:\\Program Files\\Syncrosoft\\LCC\\Logs and try again
If that still doesn´t work, please send the support file (#2) to support@syncrosoft.com"
Hope this helps.
