    Your "history" of the sousaphone is incorrect.

    Conn did not first build the sousaphone.

    Sousa did not invent the sousaphone.

    Conn did not begin making sousaphones in 1908.

    Conn first began making sousaphones in 1898, but the sousaphone was invented by J. W. Pepper, not Sousa, and was first made by Pepper in 1893.
