Haha, cool Paul, thanks,
I just happen to pass by - I have been away from the forums for several weeks now, deeply sunk in a rapid, emotional and stressful divorce process... [:'(]
Piernick,
Just check my site www.Samplicity.com for my first IR library: a collection of 89 true stereo IR's from a very famous high-end digital reverb box. There are also 4 sets with additional variations. The site offers some general information - please contact me by email if you have specific questions.
I have been kindly asked by the manufacturer of "this" hardware box, to avoid any suggestion that there is a relation between Samplicity and their products. So, to honor their request, I am a bit vague about the source of the IR's on the site.
You can download and try two free IR sets, a Concert Hall and a Church. Finally there are a few simple demos. There will be more longer musical pieces in dry and mixed versions.
For free downloads you should check www.NoiseVault.com.
I have made an interesting comparison page that compares the quality of my IR's and similar free NV IR's for the same preset from the same device. There is the link:
http://www.samplicity.com/comparisons.htmlThe maker of this free set highly recommends my collection, as do several people have have started using them. I have aimed at optimal signal-to-noise ratio's by using long sweeps, and I am proud myself about the final results.
Best regards,
Peter Roos
