  • Christian or anybody..

Page 5 of the Performance Tools manual states:

Attention: GigaStudio's IN PORTS must be disabled when you work with the
Performance Tool! To do so, go to "Settings - Hardware/Routing" and set allMidi In Ports to "none". Don't forget to press apply".

When I disable the IN port, my sound out of my Giga machine disappears. I am using MidioverLan. Should this be happening or am I missing something here?

Also, if one left the Midi Port on and is using the Performance tools for a Performance patch, could this cause an echo? In other words why does the Midi port(s) on the giga screen need to be set as "NONE"

    TIA

Alan, that part from the manual only sounds accurate if you happen to run Giga on the same system as your sequencer. If you're using MOL to run multiple systems via your LAN you should of course not disable the in ports as that's where the midi data that is coming from MOL needs to go.

    Jean,

according to Christian, the giga Midi in port needs to be set to none and the Performance tool windows needs to be set to the MOL. He just E-mailed me..well somebody is right? who?
