    I'm considering buying Opus 1 tomorrow at my local Long and McQuade and I'm wondering something- will Opus 1 work on Gigastudio 3??? Or should I play it safe and get it for Kontakt instead?

    Opus works just fine on GS3. If I were you I would choose the Giga version becuase:

    a) Giga3 programming coming soon
    b) You can convert your .gigs into Kontakt should you fancy

    ...or get a sidelieense for Kontakt if you're not too fancy about all the work (there are tutorials around here if you want to do it on your own).
