  • Question about Air Force One demo

Hi people - I've just registered at this board.
I'm on the verge of buying a sample library - the VSL seems like a good choice.

Question is, was the Air Force One demo completed with samples/performances exclusively from the VSL 'Complete Orchestral Package'?

    Cheers,

    Ben

  • It's a good question ... anyone can answer it ?

is the question if _only_ samples from the vienna symphonic library are used?
    then the answer is yes

  • Thanks for the replies.

I looked at that thread you linked to just before I posted the question here.
I'm not honestly sure if it tells us whether or not the demo was created using only sounds included in the VSL 'Complete Orchestral Package'.

That's really what I want to know. Whether there are any sounds in Air Force One that are not included in the 'Complete Orchestral Package'...

I'm trying to determine whether or not the VSL COP is the 'one stop' sample solution that it appears to be.

(Edit: Sorry - unless you're saying 'yes', based on your knowledge of the demo and the samples it contains, rather than the info in that other thread!)

  • Chompy - a first reply for now: Herb is the only one who can answer this as he was the one to program the raw tracks. Right now, he's in LA at the NAMM, but I'll turn his attention to this question as soon as he is available agein.

... beeing the one who mixed all the other demos of the Vienna Symphonic Library up to now (Air Force One which was mixed by Mal Luker in the US), I can tell you from experience that the big majority (if not all) are made from the material available commercially right now, simply because we don't have much more readily edited instruments right now ;-]

  • Dietz - much appreciated. [:)]

  • The Air Force One Demo is exclusively programmed with stuff from our
"First Release - Complete Orchestral Package"

    cheers

  • Thanks Herb.
That's exactly what I wanted to hear, being that I just placed my order for the VSL COP yesterday. [:)]
