    I keep getting a "file type mismatch" error whenever I try to load the overdrive legato template with the latest Performance Tool. Is there a problem with the file, the tool, or could I be doing something wrong on my end?

    slaroussels, files to load with the *file - open* dialog have to be .vlp, .pal-files can be loaded from the open-dialog in the lower part of the tool in legato-mode (note: for overdrive you have to use guit-legato)

    I'm trying to load "EG_legato_default.pal" when I get the error. I don't have the "guit-legato" file you referred to, though I have downloaded both the Pro Edition Tool Templates and the Overdrive Tool Templates. Do I need to download a different set of files?

    slaroussels, do you work with version2 beta4 of the tool? vesrion1 doesn't have a legato mode and this new pal-type would really not match with version1

    Yes, I have beta4 of the Performance Tool. I've noticed that the beta versions of the tool don't seem to install any presets, they are just stand-alone executables. Is this correct, or perhaps this is the reason I seem to be missing the file you mentioned, "guit-legato"? Maybe you could email me the correct guitar legato file?

    Guit-Legato is one of the performance modi directly in the tool.
    When you select your mode, you should see these options for each midichannel in the popup selectbox:

    Thru
    Alternation
    Legato
    Repetition
    Hor-Legato
    Guit-Legato

    Simply select the Guit-Legato mode, thats all.
