  • Performance tool Beta 2

[:@] Well your PT Beta 2 is not loading the files saved with tool beta 1!!!! I am really angry and disappointed since I cannot run the first beta any more. I have to reprogramm every function again?

This must be a bad joke!!!?

Thanks for correcting that as fast as possible!!!!!!!!!!!

    Matt

  • ?!? I don't have this problem ... I have two giga computers with beta 2 ... no problem to read the beta 1 files ...

Maybe cm or Herb can help you ...

  • matt, possibly you try to load a .pal instead a .vlp for the tool or vice versa for settings of a mode - you can drag .pal files from an explorer window directly on a tool to load settings, does that work for you?

  • I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT CHOOSING MODES!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot load the whole file (including all 4 ports) i created in beta 1!!!
This is really making me feel... [8o|]

I CAN load every mode (.pal files...) but the whole beta 1 setup (each .vlp file I created before with beta 1) cannot be loaded anymore...!!!!

  • matt, i've loaded several .vlp files created with the beta1 into the beta2 and what i notice now is, that the port settings are not always correct on port 2 - 4 although the settings for the respective channels are loaded properly.
sorry for this inconveniance, but i didn't notice such behaviour during testing

  • When will you have corrected that, Chris? [:)]

  • i'm sorry to say we have to wait until our tool developer returns from NAMM.
i've also sent you a PM

  • Thanks Chris - time will show the way to "PT working fine!"... Hopefully!

  • Why don't you use the beta 1 version again ?

  • Hi.

I'm experiencing the same issue of not being able to load pre-beta2 files...

It tells me "FileType doesn't match-no loading". When I click OK, another dialog pops up saying "An attempt was made to access an unnamed file past its end."

    Thanks.

I think his 45 days are over by now...

  • I have similar issues, and I tried to go back to beta 1.
I don't know if setting your system to the wrong date will work, since the time-out seemed to take effect once you started using it. Also, I went back to the original ZIP file of Beta 1 (I never seem to clean my drives) and the ZIP file wouldn't even unzip...just got a "timed-out" notice, so we HAVE to use Beta 2.

  • Setting back the date was *NOT* a good idea, if you go too far it will expire even a still running version of it. Sorry if anybody got problems because of this.

  • dear users - the code is already under review and i decided to disable the download of the beta2 for today to keep the damage as little as possible.

we can expect a new version reading the beta1 files properly later today - the bad news is, that files created with the beta2 will probably be not compatible. assuming there are more beta1 files out there i thought this would be the less worse solution

our sincere apologies for the troubles this will possibly cause again

it's online now - please revisit our user area and get the version2 beta3 - i've tested several options and it reads the beta1 files without troubles so far.

please note you will still have to adjust jour midi ports, because this settings are stored in the operating system and not in the tool settings.

again our apologies for the inconveniance
