  • I am logged as administrator in the computer so I assume it was installed as Admin.

    thanks

  • Hi Anand,

Yes, you need the Synchron Player, for all your free instruments.

    That could fix this!

  • Hi Paul

I installed Synchron but still the same issue.

There is no folder called 'ProgramData' where VI Pro is looking for this toolikit.

There seems to be something basic wrong with my installation.

    Thanks again for your help.

  • Hi Anand,

Could you please re-install the latest iLOK License Manager version from here:

    www.ilok.com

If that does not help, please create a support file for us and send it to support@vsl.co.at - thank you!

Hi Andreas this worked. I knew it was something stupid on my side, in this case not even installing the license manager!

    thanks for the patient help.

  • Sorry if I may continue this thread....

While I am able to oepn VI Pro, it does not seem to recognize any of the patches. I have the SO standard library and installed it fresh from Vienna assistant. I also made sure the directory manager has all the necessary folders.

A weird thing is that I am able to open VI pro even when the license USB key is not inserted.

My iLOK shows all the licenses as being on the cloud and not on the local computer. Could that be the issue?

Anything simple I am missing again?

Sorry this process of installing in a new computer has just been so ambiguous.

    thanks in advance

    Anand

  • Hello Anand,

Did you make sure that your cloud session is open (iLok License Manager / Open your cloud session)?

  • Oh gosh, I proved myself to be a total numb nut again.

Yes it works now, I just had to activate the cloud session on the local computer. Ive not been in touch with the latest developments and didnt realize the USB key is not even required anymore.

Thanks Paul and sorry again for the dumb questions.

    Best
