Notes too short in perf universal (bug?)

Hello,

One of my customers has a problem with one midi track :

- Trumpet Piccolo with perf universal
Some notes are too short (no loop ?) but the same midi notes with the C trumpert are Ok.

What's the problem ?

It seems that a part of the legato sounds are not looped

For exemple :

OB1_perf_legato_noVib : not looped
OB1_perf_legato_vib_progr : looped

I don't understand why. Is it a feature, or a bug ?

If we would have started looping each perfomance legato sample we would have caused release delay of the Symphonic Cube for more than 10 years. [[;)]]

The versions with looped sustains are special stacks combining intervall samples with looped sustain samples.

This patch is used for the slowest legato - performance in the universal matrix.

More seriously, I understand that you can't loop every sounds, but imho it seems strange that some perf_universal samples are not looped.

One example with PFL Perf-Universal :

PFL_perf-leg_sustain : looped (seems obvious)
PFL_perf-legato : not looped (strange)
PFL_perf-legato_fast : looped [[:|]]

These 3 patches change with the speed controler. So, depending on how fast you're playing just before you need a long note, it could be looped.....or not... [*-)]

The workarounds could be :

- use keyswitches to use a sustain sound on another matrix when you need, and another keyswitches to come back to the perf-universal matrix when the long note is finished.
- replace the perf-legato patch with the perf-leg_sustain patch.

I think the perf-universal matrix becomes not so universal, don't you ?
