hi all.
thinking about the "perfect" commands to switch the articulations (speed control, modulation, pitch, keyswitch ...) and their editing qualitiy after recording ..
while live playing ,the thing with the modulation wheel is nearly perfect up to 4x4
patches, but for corrections in the editor there are a lot of events to handle and no way to correct them in the score editor ...
... my main editor is the logic score editor, because this is the only one, which is able to show all voices in the same window ...
so, i remembered the "old" logic feature called "midi meaning", where you can
pre-define, what happens if you add a dynamic sign to a note-event in the score editor (... definable velocity and lenght increasing only)
if it would possible to assign the prefered commands to the dynamic signs as a preset, articulation could be a very "realistic" thing, like writing scores on a piece of paper (e.g. adding a "dot" under a note will cause playing staccato, a "<" will cause playing crescendo ... and so on)
in fact of the excellent VI - interface, which is able to follow all these commands,
it would be very helpfull ...
maybe i missed this feature anywhere ...
maybe not - perhaps someone of you is able to place this thought on the logic/apple schedule as a future - feature ... (before the apple advantage in logic i´d give the guys in hamburg a call by myself, but nowadays - i don´t know where they are)
maybe - it´s just a dream ...
best
thomas
