    Hi! All...

    I am working on a new Romantic Piece. I have just done the first 30 seconds and need some advice on orchestration and sound...

    What are your thoughts? ANY Advice/sUggestion/Criticism will be highly appreciated.....

  • Hmm. Certainly no complaints here from me. I thought this was very professional, and sounded really quite excellent. Perhaps a touch more reverb on the strings to match that of the piano but I wouldn't change a thing.

  • That one is sold! Beautyful, orchestration fine, nothing missing, but for Rosamunde Pilcher it shouldn't be faster then 53 BPM, then perhaps, all of a sudden you hear more what could be added/subtracted, or NOT. For a trailer the existing tempo is fine. I miss some caesuras in the left hand arpeggios who would give a bit more breath.

    keep it simple, stupid!

    ...of course you have to mix it with more depth, and distance, like a piece by Frederick Delius, i.e. "On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring" etc., but then also you can mix it as flat as it is for tv drama.
